Western Electric 525 police telephone "Turtle Shell" from the 1950s or 1960s. The phone has a Bakelite G handset with a short straight cord. It is equipped with a #6 dial with a shroud and daisy dial face similar to a payphone. The phone has an internal ringer for incoming calls. The sign on the front is porcelain over steel. The phone has an optional lock installed, when the cover is closed it locks and the key (last picture) is needed to open it.

Beware, there are people selling reproductions of the porcelain sign!
